Welcome Back guys, sorry I have been busy with work. So I want to help a few friends of mine reading my blog post right on what procrastination and how to end it, well I want to remind you that if you have formed it as a habit, then you aren't doing yourself much good and the tips won't make it disappear all at once, but it will decline bit by bit until you learn how to manage your time.
So here's the big question: what is procrastination: it is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time.
People may procrastinate personal issues (raising a stressful issue with a partner), health issues (seeing a doctor or dentist), home care issues (patching a leak in a roof), or academic/work obligations (completing a report). The truth is that the more boring, frustrating, meaningless, difficult,a task is, the more likely you are to procrastinate with it.
Here are the Strategies to counter Procrastination:
1. For example, washing your dishes immediately after your meal, tossing the laundry in the washing machine, taking out the garbage, sending that email, and so on.
If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, then do it right now, and never hesitate about it.
2. Make a good and smart to-do list with the tasks you avoid doing, and go ahead and set deadlines.
3. Remove everything that will be a temptation for you to do something else, for example it once happened to me, like I might want to do my laundry but when there's light, I leave it and move to my computer machine and postpone the laundry, until I made the computer game a reward after completing the tasks before me. Like I will get an attractive game I might like to play immediately but instead of me installing it and playing it, I will tell myself, do the right things first and you will enjoy the game. And that's how i moved on.
4. And the Last but not the least, Make your intentions public. it might add pressure but you will find out it might be your strongest motivator just to avoid embarrassment, and you can also ask someone to help you complete a task, or do it together with the person.
When you start practicing these steps, you will see that in no time, you will have full control of your time.
Good day and have a nice day.
